Frequently asked questions
Is Ledgeron available now?
No. Ledgeron is under active development and not yet generally available. Clients, the product catalog, pricing, promotions, ordering, services, billing documents, automation, payments through Stripe and the audit log are implemented. Tax is in development. The REST API, staff accounts and permissions, the admin and client screens, client messaging, migration and the installer are planned. No screen exists yet. The product status page lists every area and its current state.
What does “implemented” mean on the status page?
That the work is merged into the main branch, with automated tests passing on MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL in CI. It does not mean finished or proven in production.
Can Ledgeron replace my current billing system?
Not yet. Clients, products, ordering, services, billing documents and payments are implemented; provisioning modules and a support desk are planned. Migration from WHMCS 7.10 and 8.x is planned, reconciled to the cent.
Is it self-hosted or SaaS?
Self-hosted. Ledgeron is designed to run on your own infrastructure, so customer data, billing records and integrations stay with you. A production installer and upgrade lifecycle are planned ahead of general availability. A cloud edition running the same code is also planned.
What is it built with?
PHP 8.3 to 8.5, with MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL all supported. Every change is tested on MySQL 8.4, MariaDB 11.8 and PostgreSQL 18, and older supported versions are tested nightly.
Which control panels, registrars and payment gateways will it support?
Payments through Stripe are implemented but have not yet run against live Stripe. Provisioning modules for cPanel/WHM, Plesk, DirectAdmin and Virtualizor/Proxmox are being designed, with more to follow soon, and the connection point they plug into is built. More payment gateways, domains and registrars are planned for after the first release. The early-access form asks about your stack so we can prioritise that work.
Will existing customer data be importable?
Migration from WHMCS 7.10 and 8.x is planned, reconciled to the cent, and general availability waits until migration is hardened. Most early-access candidates already run an existing platform, so we treat a migration path as a requirement rather than a feature.
When can I use it?
The roadmap is a sequence of stages with no dates attached. Tax is the current stage. Next come the REST API and staff accounts and permissions, then the admin and client screens with client messaging, then migration from WHMCS, then an internal beta at GOZEN HOST. Controlled early access for selected hosting providers is planned for 2027, with general availability once installation, upgrades and migration are hardened.
How does the early-access programme work?
Registering now puts you on the list for controlled early access and lets you choose whether you want to follow development, evaluate the platform or discuss a pilot. We review registrations personally. Registration does not grant access to the platform today.
Is pricing available?
No. Publishing pricing before the licensing model is settled would be guesswork, and we would rather say so than invent numbers.
